3 Festivals if you missed out on Glasto tickets

3 Festivals if you missed out on Glasto tickets

The big Sunday morning for Glasto tickets has come and gone. I am sad to say we did not get our hands on tickets, but it was by choice this year as we can’t make it… So here are some festivals on the wish list instead:

Three very different vibes (but they all start with a W - not intentional!)

We Out Here Fest

The newish festival curated by Giles Peterson is at the top of my wish list this year.  It features a diverse range of genres, including jazz, soul, dub, electronic, and soul. It’s a 4-day festival and takes place in Dorset August 15 - 18th 2024. It’s top of my list for next year.

WOMAD

Nothing like coming together with people from all over the world, and celebrating music from around the globe. I haven’t been to Womad yet, but I have been to similar festivals not in the UK.

WOMAD - which stands for World of Music, Arts and Dance, is an international arts festival that celebrates the world's many forms of music, arts, and dance. The festival's mission is to "bring together people from all cultures and backgrounds to create a more peaceful and interconnected world."

Wilderness Festival

Definitely the most Boujee of the three - Wilderness describes itself as - “A four-day party like no other. Wilderness is a weekend of escapism, high jinks, and wholesome hedonism. This is the place where you can be who you want to be. Step in, explore and indulge your wild side.”
I had a great time, although it was quite a few years ago now, aside from the partying, there were some brilliant speakers, and I vividly remember a talk by Ruby Wax. I’d like to indulge in a little escapism again…
